Fellow Rovers, Since my election in late June, I have been working to bring you the best Bash I possibly can. I assembled a great team which from the start was enthusiastic and ready to tackle the challenge! Looking back on the weekend, I have to again thank my fellow committee members for all there hard work to bring QLD Rovers such a great event. For all those other Rovers out there who feel they to might have something to bring to this great event, I encourage you all to stand up and have a go. Rovers is a learning section and I know that I have learnt alot over the past 6 months, and I hope my fellow committee members have also got something out of the experience. To all the QLD Rovers, interstate Rovers and non-members that attended the event, the committee and I thankyou very much for your continued support. We hope to see everyone next year, and hope the event can continue to build up and get better each year. The Banana Bash wrap up meeting will be held hopefully within the next month once financials and any other matters have been finalised. This will be announced on this website and MSN for all those wishing to attend. The aim of a wrap up meeting is to provide the next committee with valuable feedback on the running and planning of the event in the hope that any mistakes aren't repeated. There were alot of people that Banana Bash continues to get support from, and I would like to again thank them:
Also the committee:

Yours in Rovering, Geoffrey Clark SERVICE WEEKEND! [15/01/2008] Fellow Rovers, There is only one service weekend left before Bash!! NOTE: If you have not completed service before Bash, and your not from a out of town crew (like Bundaberg), you will not be allowed to race. If you cannot make this weekend, you must let the committee know and other arrangements might be able to be made to better accomodate you. This weekend: Saturday 19th - Sunday 20th January 2008 Things that need to be completed on these weekends will include: Collection of firewood for showers, errection of shower blocks, staking and bunting of tracks, walkways, spectator areas, bar area, clean up of camping grounds driveways, making signs, etc. So bring along saw's, picks, mallets, star picket drivers, anything you might think is helpful. Please keep a close eye for updates on this website and MSN. Make sure you tell your group before they break for the year to come to visitor's day! There will be lots of fun activities and maybe even a jumping castle! ALSO: Catering Menu is now available online. Get it from the downloads section. This might be updated early next week with prices, but Rosewood are still finalising this. At the moment there is no catering form, as we are still working out all the details with Rosewood. Those that wish to use the catering service, please remember to tick the box on your form, this way we can let Rosewood know how many people want catering. Yours in Rovering, Geoffrey Clark VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE PLEASE READ! [11/12/2007] Fellow Rovers, Banana Bash for 2008 has been moved from the site at Aratula, to the site, used in 2006 by Rollie, at Canungra. Please make sure that ALL Rovers in your crew, and any guests that you have invited are aware of the change. This was not a decision the committee wanted to have to make, as a result any service already completed by Rover Crews will count to your crews contribution. We however ask for your assitance in preparation of the new site should you be available. PLEASE NOTE: The service weekend scheduled for this weekend (Sat 15th - Sun 16th December 2007) has been cancelled! If you were planning to do service this weekend, there is a chance to complete your service on the two next scheduled service weekends, they are as follows: Saturday 12th - Sunday 13th January 2008 Saturday 19th - Sunday 20th January 2008 Things that need to be completed on these weekends will include: Collection of firewood for showers, errection of shower blocks, staking and bunting of tracks, staking and bunting of pit area, walkways, spectator areas, bar area, camping grounds driveways etc. CHEAP RATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED: The cheap rate has been extended until Wednesday 16th January 2008. Yours in Rovering, Geoffrey Clark Service Weekends [26/08/2007] Fellow Rovers, As most of you maybe aware, Banana Bash doesn't just happen very easily. There is alot of work and service which must be done to pull it off. This is where we require all Rovers to help out, each rover must complete 8 hrs of service if they wish there crew to race. If Rover crews for there service would like to nominate helping us with things like, cleaning out and repacking the container, spray painting new track signs, things like that, talk to Philip (Email Philip) we'll sort out something. Service to be undertaken on the weekend is primarily for far away crews (ie Bundy) this includes the front gate, showers, collecting firewood, marshalling events, pulling down of tracks (Sunday Arvo/Monday), pulling down the Marquee. Please watch out on MSN and also check this site regularly for any updates to service weekends. If we get everything done in one weekend, and we cancel the rest, there is always more service to do! Just get in contact with the committee and we'll find something for you to do. Let not forget the Rover motto: Service Dates of service weekends:
